Well, friends, I'm switching to solo travel mode again . My daughter's vacation is over and she flew to Russia, and my journey continues. I'll spend a few days in Kyoto, where the concentration of attractions per square meter is greater than in any other city in Japan.
And the best thing about living in Kyoto is that you can see interesting places in the morning, without a large influx of tourists. I hope to take advantage of this "option".
Accommodation in Kyoto is more expensive than in Osaka, plus you have to pay a city tax - 200 yen per day. So if you only have a few days in Osaka-Nara-Kyoto, then in my opinion it is better to stay in Osaka. By the way, if anyone is interested, shopping in Osaka is more interesting than in Kyoto.
And a little bit of that Kyoto that everyone comes here for. Traditional Japanese houses and the geisha district.
Look how many tourists there are here! I think I've only seen such a crowd before Covid.
It feels like all the tourists have decided to rush to Japan and I'm hanging out in the general flow 🤪
And you, friends, have you been to Kyoto? What did you like and what didn't you like?
